Spinal Vertebrae Alignment
During our every day lives, our spine and its many individual components are subjected to a wide variety of stresses and strains. When we practice good back health and understand how to lift correctly, we are able to avoid injuries to our spinal column.
Unfortunately, many of us have experienced problems with our back, neck and other limbs through simple accidents like tripping, slipping and falling over. More serious injuries are often seen with those competing in Sports or in Road Traffic Accidents, as impacts are greater when travelling at any kind of speed.
There are many ways that you can injure your spine, all of which will lead to discomfort, pain and restricted movement.
Vertebrae can be forced out of alignment putting uneven pressure on the disc. This is called a sub-luxation (semi-dislocation) or a luxation (dislocation). These can result in a spinal bulge where the nucleus of the disc will protrude, or a prolapse/herniation, where the nucleus of the disc will rupture and leak.
Internally, the soft tissue around the vertebrae then becomes inflamed, pinching or trapping the nerves and reducing blood supply to the affected area. This slows down your bodies own natural healing ability.
Major benefits of Spinal Vertebrae Alignment
Encourages discs to heal
Clears spinal congestion
Relieve headaches and migraine
Releases trapped or pinched nerves
Restores brain-body lines of communication
Can eradicate back, hip, neck and buttock pain
When forced out of alignment so brutally, this triggers a defence reaction from the brain and your back muscles go into a state known as spasm as a form of protection to prevent any further movement. Whilst this may work to stop any further damage, it can be excruciating and unless the vertebrae is realigned to its normal position, the body will be unable to heal the injured disc and surrounding area.
Using Vertebral Alignment, I can realign the vertebrae releasing any trapped or pinched nerves and blood vessels. When used in conjunction with Massage Therapy and other non-invasive therapies, it will clear pain, muscle spasm and inflammation, allowing the body to begin healing itself. This is the process of restoring your brain and body’s lines of communication, health and well being.
As further developments into modern treatments continue, Doctors and other medical professionals are embracing a more holistic approach to treating pain.
